This personal project grew from a fascination with the simplicity and expressiveness of line art—an art form built from clean, distinct lines placed against a plain background, with no shading or color to define shape. I became intrigued by how such minimal elements could still convey emotion, depth, and movement.
Experimenting with this technique taught me how to guide the eye using only curves, spacing, and rhythm—creating the illusion of shadows and highlights through nothing more than intentional line placement. It’s a skill that has deepened my illustration approach and one I continue to bring into future creative work.
